DAY 1

Guwahati to Jorhat

Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and drive to Jorhat, one of Assam’s major tea centres and an important gateway for Majuli and Hoollongapar Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary.

DAY 2

Hoollongapar Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary to Majuli

Visit the sanctuary for a forest walk where permitted, with local guide or forest staff, to understand hoolock gibbon habitat, birdlife and the forest. Access, routes and guide requirements depend on current forest regulations and operating conditions. Continue towards Majuli.

DAY 3

Majuli to Kaziranga

Visit a selection of Satras depending on timing, ferry schedule and traveller interest, then continue to Kaziranga.

DAY 4

Kaziranga Wildlife Day

Build the day around one or two safari sessions. Safari timing, range and elephant-safari availability depend on season, booking availability, park operations and authority instructions. Combining Kakochang Falls trekking with multiple safaris can make the day tiring.

Kaziranga to Dirang

Dirang to Tawang

Cross Sela Pass and continue via Sela Lake and Jaswant Garh. Nuranang or Jung Falls can be visited today or on the return journey, depending on timing.

DAY 7

Bum La, PT Tso and Sangetsar Lake

Bum La and the surrounding high-altitude lakes are subject to additional local permission, weather, road conditions and authority clearance. Access cannot be guaranteed.

DAY 8

Tawang Local Sightseeing

Visit Tawang Monastery—one of India’s most important and largest Buddhist monasteries—plus a realistic selection of local attractions.

DAY 9

Tawang to Bomdila

Bomdila to Guwahati

Take the long return transfer. A Brahmaputra cruise can be considered only when arrival time and the current cruise schedule permit.

Depending on departure timing, visit Kamakhya Temple or shop locally before the airport or railway drop. Special-entry access is not guaranteed.
